Depression and Art

I found this web site a few years ago, made by a very talented artist, a woman that suffers from depression. Her site contain photos of all her digital art, her paintings, and her cats. It also has some art made by other people with depression. I had forgotten her name, the name of her website and the URL, but one day I searched the web for hours looking at sites that contain digital art and cats, and I finally found it. I'm so glad it's still online. I think Linda's art is very interesting. Here's the link to her website:

I have suffered from Dysthymic Disorder since I was a toddler. I was neglected by my parents, physically and verbally abused by my brother and sexually molested by men from the age of 3. As a result I became a very shy/introverted child with very few friends. As a lonely little kid I liked to draw and I used to draw a lot when I was 10 until I turned 14 and started dating. It's been years since I've drawn anything for pleasure and I've been wanting to start being more creative. I want to learn to draw, sculpture cray, paint with acrylics and oil paints, do digital photo art, ecetera. But since also suffering from Major Depressive Disorder I have not felt the motivation or creativity needed to do art. But I'm hoping to be able to push or force myself to be creative and do art. I go to art therapy once a week and love it. It's the only time I don't feel depressed. So I am going to make myself do art. Hopefully it'll be good enough to post online.
